This sculpture is made up of an eight
inch wrinkled lead cube with a three-inch square hole in the top
that goes down though the middle of the cube. Rising out of the
hole at a sixty-degree angle is a two and one-half inch wide curly
maple ladder. Each rung is notched into the side posts and is joined
to them using very small stainless steel crews. Every screw groove
is lined up perfectly parallel the rungs.
