This sculpture hangs from a tree.
It is a mobile piece from the Pedestrian Amazonian Series. It is
made of Hackberry limbs, aluminum, 3 pairs of red cowboy boots,
a red cowboy hat, and a pair of tan leather gloves. The bottom half
is made 3 inch diameter limb that immediately makes a V and branches
from the center, down several feet that it branches out smaller
again almost parallel with the ground, two more feet down it does
the same again except not so parallel, then it continues almost
straight and stops an inch from the ground. Attached to the end
of these six branches are 3 pairs red cowboy boots all the same
brand and color. The boots closest to the ground are small kids
size, the boots on the next leg up are medium and, the boots highest
up, 3 feet off the ground are larger adult size. Another limb is
pointing up connected to the waist and legs with a one-inch aluminum
dowel. This limb is about 4 inches in diameter and at half way splits
and forms two other limbs of 2 inches but, it continues up another
30 inches and has a 12 inch long, 3 inch wide hollow to the center
of the limb. The two limbs that branch out become raised arms with
the tan leather gloves reaching for the sky. There is a red cowboy
hat on top of the center limb with the mouth wide open. This is
a Hold Up!
