A vertical object made of two 12-inch
walnut cubes stained a deep rich red and nine mirror polished three-inch
squares, one inch thick. The two large cubes have been sanded, stained,
and lacquered. One is situated 12 inches directly above the other.
The cubes are connected by nine one half-inch dowels that are placed
in a grid pattern placed on the opposing faces of the cubes. The
dowels each meet in the center of nine thick aluminum squares. The
squares are all in an horizontal plane with an even one-inch space
between them all.
