An eight-inch wide block of deep rich
red genuine mahogany starts at the top as a single point, it sweeps
forward and half way down to the eight-inch width. When the sweeping
curve becomes flat at the front there is a one eighth inch brass
rod that rises up then turns down through a horizontal slot that
is half the depth of the block. Suspended in the slot on the end
of the small rod is a polished woodcarving of light, bright birds-eye
maple. It has the appearance of an Indian with a headdress. Is he
escaping a crashing wave? What will become of him at the end of
his dive to escape?
